Gulp
After creating the world’s smallest animation with Dot, Nokia has reteamed with Aardman to set a new world record for the largest stop-motion animation ever made with Gulp. It’s a whale of a saga about a fisherman who goes about his daily catch, and most of it unfolds on location at Pendine Beach in South Wales, with the largest scene stretching over 11,000 square feet. It was shot using Nokia N8 camera phones, with their 12 megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics.
Here’a a time-lapse that gives a better sense of the scale of the production and what was occurring off-camera to bring Gulp to life.
