Rock in the Road

Five years in the making, this animation is a testament to the perseverance of the students and faculty from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, who first set out to create this parable in the fall of 2007. They originally envisioned a 3-minute work, but eventually it grew into a longer 12-minute piece. It’s set in a faraway land, where the king has noticed that his people have become lazy, selfish and vain. So he has devised a test to change the course of the nation and to strengthen the values of the populace. Among those involved in the project: Students Melissa Caldwell, Aaron Adams and Daniel Cooper, as well as Zach Gray, associate professor in SAU’s School of Visual Art & Design. H/T Kuriositas
