What happens when Democrats run your state? In the case of California, the answers are overwhelmingly clear and depressing. You not only have excessive taxation and regulation, but also a steady outflow of both businesses and residents.

Here’s a closer look at just how much damage Democrats have done to the Golden State.  We should all make sure, as they pile into our other states, that we don’t allow them to duplicate this same mess elsewhere!

Victor Davis Hanson says these negative results have grown more pronounced since the disastrous eight years of the Obama administration. Hanson is an American classicist, military historian, columnist and farmer. He has been a commentator on modern and ancient warfare and contemporary politics for National Review, The Washington Times and other media outlets. He is a professor emeritus of classics at California State University, Fresno, and is currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in classics and military history at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
