Probably because Atkinson, a former attorney with the Department of Justice, could have said things that supported President Donald Trump and cast doubts upon the impeachment. Perhaps because Atkinson exposed the nefarious double-dealing and lies of the Trump accuser — the man whose name dares not be mentioned.
