Dinesh D’Souza reports that Mark Zuckerberg’s “Threads,” the latest rival to Twitter, appears to have crashed and burned.
Zuckerberg, who also owns Instagram and is a longtime rival of Twitter CEO Elon Musk , trumpeted his new platform as a success, claiming 100 million users had signed up in the first five days. On the surface, the number is impressive, D’Souza says, except when you realize that Zuckerberg pushed his 1.8 billion Instagram users to sign up.
D’Souza says Zuckerberg has been suspiciously silent since the rollout of Threads. Why? “Because the people who have been going on Threads, using Threads or just perusing Threads, realize that it is dumb, too big and Threads is no threat to Twitter. In fact, the user of Threads are beginning to bail out.” More with D’Souza.
