Sorry, this doesn’t have anything to do with impregnating a woman, but is more of a human wake-up call, or tap on the window. Would the media trumpet a “recovery?” Never in a million years.
Reason.TV’s Nick Gillespie identifies three arguments why President Obama ought to approve the 1,700-mile Keystone XL pipeline, bringing oil from Alberta, Canada, to refineries along the Gulf of Mexico. The reasons: 1. The oil isn’t going to stay buried. 2. The pipeline isn’t a disaster waiting to happen. 3. It will create jobs and help improve the economy.
Washington Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, one of the highest ranking Republican women in Congress, says President Obama’s State of the Union speech failed to address two of the most troubling problems facing the nation –how can we create more jobs and control runaway federal spending. She says the President also seemed closed to the idea of negotiating bi-partisan solutions, but she remains hopeful that immigration reform can perhaps be achieved over the next four years.
