The Climate Change Sham

The new mantra from the global warming alarmists: The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change. But more than likely, when that time is up, alarmists will add another dozen years, and 12 more after that.

It’s a never-ending proclamation of prolonging myths and impending doom. The truth is, the planet has warmed up 1 degree celsius since 1900 and life expectancy has doubled in industrialized democracies. Like most narratives on the left, the climate change myth is really a power grab, the Deep State’s reach for total control.

In what was supposed to be a global warming debate between alarmists and deniers, sponsored by the Heartland Institute and moderated by consumer advocate John Stossel, the alarmists failed to show up. Tune in as the panel totally discredits the sham that is global warming on the John Stossel Channel.

How Long Can We Live?

With each passing second, the cells in our bodies accrue a bit more damage. So it stands to reason that as we get older, the odds of dying increase.

Humans today are living, on average, about twice as long as they did in the late 1800s, thanks to medicine and sanitation.

But the oldest people on Earth are only living a few years longer than they did a century ago. So something seems to be limiting the human lifespan. Find out what on this episode of MinuteEarth.

Life is Really Terribly Short

No matter what your line of work, if you live for the weekends you are giving up a terrifying amount of your life. The average life expectancy in the United States is 82 years, so coupled with the yearning for weekends, the time you sleep and other key factors, you come to the realization that your time on this planet is terribly short. Pursuit of Wonder elaborates.

Where People Forget to Die

The miracle of modern technology and cutting-edge medicine has improved life expectancy in the United States to 78.5 years, while the United Kingdom and Canada boast even better numbers.

But miraculously, the tiny Greek island of Icaria, in the Aegean Sea, has done the superpowers a step better. Lacking the staples of modern technology, residents of Icaria live well into their 80s and 90s, and many often in excess of 100 years of age. Discover their secret in this edition of Second Thought.

Peeking Into the Future

With the accelerating rate of technology advance in medicine, prepare to double your life expectancy in the future. In the last 50 years alone, life expectancy has risen from 65 to 75.

But science will soon unveil nano robots that will travel through your bloodstream and fix anything, boosting your life expectancy to more than 100 years old. Danger Dolan takes a look at 14 other seemingly miraculous advances in technology that will blow your mind.

We’re Getting Smarter

Contrary to popular belief, cancer rates are declining and average IQs are rising.

“We often overlook the many good things that are happening in the world around us today,” says Ronald Bailey, Reason’s science correspondent. In the August/September edition of Reason Magazine, Bailey lists seven surprising pieces of good news about the modern world we live in.

For example, people are getting smarter. While this may come as a surprise to anyone who has watched reality television lately, a person of average IQ today would have been in the top 15 percent of same-age scorers 50 years ago. “About half of Americans two generations ago would have been diagnosed as mentally retarded based on today’s IQ tests,” says Bailey.
