Styxhexenhammer666 discusses the proposed new Church Committee, now that U.S. Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky has let the cat out of the bag by announcing he’ll be serving on that committee. We agree with Styx. Besides Massie, the committee needs a few other firebrands who will hold the feet of the derelict FBI and CIA agents to the fire.
These intelligence operatives, along with others from the National Security Agency, U.S. Department of Justice and kindred outfits, need to be restrained, and prevented from engaging in further violations of the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. If they can’t play fair, if they want to act like neo-Nazis, they should be bounced, kicked out of the federal government, banished to Siberia!
With Joe Biden offering carte blanche to these creeps, it falls upon Congress to act like adults, and bring some law and order, as well as justice, to the process.
As the leftist Democrats keep gaslighting and trying to cajole Americans into believing that free speech sucks, we continue to see encroachments made upon our Bill of Rights. There’s nothing progressive about the flagrant censorship abuses now being committed by every Tom, Dick and Harry intelligence agency — from the CIA and FBI down to Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency.

The good news? Taibbi says the journalistic team behind The Twitter Files will keep plugging away well into the future. So far, the team has sorted through only “an infinitesimal portion of the data,” so there’s “no indication it’s going to stop anytime soon,” Taibbi says. Thus, they will continue to shed a light and remained focused on exposing censorship and mass surveillance by these derelict agencies.
The bad news? While Taibbi would like to see a new version of the Church Committee formed by Congress to probe these agencies and force them to curtail their sundry abuses, he’s not convinced that will actually happen or, at least, not anytime soon. We will likely see Republicans in the U.S. House initiate some hearings, but it’s unclear whether they will be substantive, or actually lay down any genuine controls against these thuggish agencies. The CIA isn’t exactly distinguishing itself these days. Now, we have the case of Dan Bailey, who attacked Fox News host Tucker Carlson at a fishing store in Livingston, Montana, telling him “you are the worst human being known to mankind.” Bailey branded Tucker as a “fascist” who spreads vaccine misinformation.
Turns out it was a set-up. Bailey not only had someone film the encounter, but he failed to disclose his own baggage.
