Television personality Bethenny Frankel is bringing the hammer down on NBC Universal for what she claims is cruel treatment of its reality show talent.

Riss Flex reports that Frankel has retained the services of Hollywood lawyers, who delivered a letter to NBC, charging it had allegedly exceeded the moral and legal limits permissible in a civilized society, opening itself up for legal action for intentionally inflicting emotional distress, distribution of revenge porn and false imprisonment. A lawsuit has been filed alleging that Saturday Night Live comedian Horatio Sanz groomed and sexually molested a 16-year-old girl at an SNL after-hours party. Jimmy Fallon also got into the act, drinking with the 16-year-old victim while also emailing and chatting up another minor — aged 15. They have been named in a new lawsuit that also seeks damages from Saturday Night Live Studios and NBC Universal. More from The Quartering.

Covington, Kentucky, high school student Nick Sandmann has won his defamation lawsuit against the Washington Post. This is the second lawsuit he has won, the other coming against CNN. There remain six other lawsuits left to settle, including ones against the New York Times, NBC Universal, CBS News, ABC News, Gannett and Rolling Stone.

Sandmann originally was seeking $250 million from the Washington Post. It’s unclear how much he received in his settlement agreement. Sandmann and other Covington kids were falsely accused by mainstream media outlets of mocking a Native American man, Nathan Phillips, who was later exposed as a fraud. More from Mr. Obvious.
