U.S. Mortgage Market Thuds

Mortgage applications to buy a house just COLLAPSED by 41% YoY. Down to the lowest level in 28 Years. Even worse than the mortgage crash that occurred in 2008. Areas hit hard so far include North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada.

The end result: Look for a larger collapse of the home sales market, precipitating a deeper recession later in 2023. Here’s the scuttlebutt from Reventure Consulting.

Election Case Freaks Out Left

Truth And Art TV’s Bernie Suarez reports that the left is already freaking out over a crucial election case that has reached the Supreme Court.

Suarez says oral arguments are under way in Moore vs. Harper, a North Carolina case about who has the power to write election laws, a precedent that will have huge consequences in many areas, such as adopting voter ID to redistricting.  Suarez explains further (beginning at :44:50), plus discusses the announcement that the DOJ  is now investigating FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried and how the CDC used a backchannel with Twitter to control the Covid-19 narrative and more

Winning Night For Republicans

As the vote counting proceeded into the night, the Republicans appeared almost certain to take control of the U.S. House, but it remained unclear if they could also win the U.S. Senate. In other words, there was a Republican wave in the 2022 midterms elections, but falling short of a red tsunami.

As of 6:40 a.m., Politico had the two parties splitting the U.S. Senate, with 48 seats for the Democrats and 47 seats for the Republicans. Republicans who stood poised to win Senate races: J.D. Vance in Ohio, Chuck Grassley in Iowa, Ted Budd in North Carolina, Eric Schmitt in Missouri and Ron Johnson in Wisconsin. But it appeared the Democrats withstood the GOP in New Hampshire, Colorado and Washington states. And the fake news was reporting a John Fetterman victory over Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania.

Arizona, Nevada and Alaska trailed in their vote counting, so it remained to be seen how those elections would go. Also still up in the air: The Georgia race between Hershel Walker and Raphael Warnock, apparently headed toward a runoff election.

In the U.S. House, Republicans had won 199 seats vs. 172 for the Democrats, but 64 races still had not been called, as of 6:40 a.m. Eastern time, according to Politico. Here, former President Donald Trump provides updates from Mar-A-Lago in a speech broadcast by Newsmax TV.

Pit Abuts Canada’s Parliament

Join me as I field an impromptu phone call from Norm Traversy on the Take-Back Canada special. What’s with the giant 100-foot pit in front of the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa? Here, see photos of black “Inkas,” or armored bulletproof vehicles.

From his jail cell, Guy Brummell later joins for more updates on a situation in Canada that keeps growing more tense. Is the Royal Canadian Mounted Police acting scared or backing away? What’s happening with Traversy’s avowed plan to serve Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with a warrant for treason?

Otherwise, this is a full, loaded episode of McAllister TV with high-level snark. She gives her observations on former President’ Donald Trump’s latest rally in North Carolina. Also in this episode: Viewer mail and a new outlook on Laura’s View and Tarot Too.

Is McConnell Now MAGA?

GOP Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell shocked a lot of Republicans when he said the party would take the House in 2022 but he doubted they could take the Senate. Now, McConnell is reversing course and predicting the GOP also will grab the Senate. In particular, he’s pushing three GOP hopefuls — Herschel Walker in Georgia, Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania and Ted Budd in North Carolina.

The question remains: Is McConnell now turning MAGA, or is he simply backtracking a bit after many Republicans gave him grief for being so pessimistic and cynical, and sparring with former President Donald Trump?

Black Conservative Patriot touches on the McConnell dustup at the 12:03 marker. Also addressed here: Joe Rogan’s call for his listeners to vote Republican, the FBI’s latest moves, Joe Biden’s dog whistle leading to property damage, and what’s up next from Donald Trump.

Mehmet Oz appeared to eke out a narrow victory Tuesday night over Dave McCormick to win the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, but the race remains too close to call. With 95 percent of the vote counted, Oz led by a tally of 397,349 to 396,724 votes with Kathy Barnette trailing in third place. Oz had earned an endorsement from former President Donald Trump, tipping the election in his favor.

In North Carolina,  Ted Budd cruised to a victory in the Senate race, as did Rand Paul in Kentucky. North Carolina U.S. Rep.  Madison Cawthorn lost his primary race. Although endorsed by Trump, he had become embroiled in a series of charges and countercharges involving congressional orgies.
