The First Dinos To Last Days

It took nature nearly 30 million years to recover from the biosphere catastrophe, known as the Triassic Extinction, ushering in the Mesozoic Era, second of Earth’s three major geologic eras.

The Mesozoic was the rebirth of nature, where the ancestors of major plant and animal groups that exist today first appeared, and was more popularly referred to as the age of the dinosaurs, whom ruled Earth for the next 160 million years. The following documentary, courtesy of Undeniable Truth, takes a comprehensive look at the Mesozoic Era, a critical time in our planet’s evolution.

The Covid-19 Delusion

Ceylon doubles down on the Covid 19 phenomenon that has gripped the planet in the last two years, proclaiming there is no pandemic. The proof is in the numbers, he says. More than 90 percent of the PCR tests produce false positives, the survival rate for younger people is 99.97 percent and 99.6 percent for the elderly.

According to the CDC, 94.6 percent of those who allegedly died from Covid, had 2.6 pre-existing conditions on average. And, finally, he says, masks definitely do not work. Anti-vaccine advocate and environmental lawyer

Here are more details from Ceylon, who also details the power of cannabis, herbs and plants in curing our ailments.

From Single Cells to Humans

The emergence of life began 4 billion years ago in the form of single-cell organisms. It proceeded in three different directions called domains, which are the top classification levels. They included different types of algae that became the plant kingdom; various molds or the fungus kingdom; and amoeba-like organisms that evolved into the animal kingdom. Because the mechanisms involved, such as mutation and natural selection, had long periods to work with, each new development along the evolutionary cycle took tens of millions of years. Matt Baker of Useful Charts explains the process.

The Social Life of Plants

Amazingly, botanists have discovered that plants have a secret social life. You read that correctly. Plants can actually communicate with each other, and have been able to for centuries. MinuteEarth’s Henry Reich tells us that plants can warn each other of dangerous fungi, but can use what they’ve learned about their neighbors for nefarious reasons. Check out this episode as Reich explains.

Got Seeds?

For a seed to start growing, its embryo must emerge from its hard coat. In nature the embryo is aided by frost and animal digestion — but humans can help too. Nicking, filing, and soaking the seed in hot water or acid are all forms of scarification, or ways to speed up germination by breaking down the shell. Mary Koga offers some tips to spur your sprouts (and don’t forget the bleach).

What Is Salvia?

Salvia divinorum, despite sounding like a spell from the world of Harry Potter, can’t turn you into an inanimate object, make you leave your body, or set your feet on fire. But it can make you FEEL like all of those things are happening. This little plant is a hallucinogen – one so powerful and unique that the DEA isn’t quite sure how to regulate it. Hank Green’s got the details on this psychotropic member of the sage genus in this episode of SciShow.
