‘Weaponization’ Panel Formed

It’s on! The U.S. House is forming a new select panel, the Weaponization of Government Subcommittee, to review abuses of power by Joe Biden’s administration in directing Big Tech social media platform committees to censor conservatives and conduct surveillance on the American public.

Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan will chair the committee, and members will include Thomas Massie of Kentucky. Much of the committee’s work will be done in private, but members will have the power to bring issues out into the open if they find the Biden administration has violated Americans’ constitutional rights.

“This is about the First Amendment,” Jordan said on the House floor. “Your right to practice your faith, assemble, right to petition the government, freedom of press, freedom of speech ― every single one’s been attacked in the last two years.”

Besides taking a look at social media platforms like Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, the panel will explore how Biden’s Department of Justice attacked parents who spoke out at school board meetings against abuses by public schools. The machinations of Anthony Fauci also will be probed, exposing how Democrats forced social media companies to parrot Leftist views and suppress truths about the Covid vaccines.

How bad has been Joe Biden’s regime of censorship?

We now have evidence proving Biden tried to get Tucker Carlson banned from Facebook. The censorship hammer also came down on Tomi Lahren.

As the leftist Democrats keep gaslighting and trying to cajole Americans into believing that free speech sucks, we continue to see encroachments made upon our Bill of Rights. There’s nothing progressive about the flagrant censorship abuses now being committed by every Tom, Dick and Harry intelligence agency — from the CIA and FBI down to Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency.

Here, Matt Taibbi talks with independent pundit Kim Iversen about the many abuses uncovered to date via The Twitter Files.

The good news? Taibbi says the journalistic team behind The Twitter Files will keep plugging away well into the future. So far, the team has sorted through only “an infinitesimal portion of the data,” so there’s “no indication it’s going to stop anytime soon,” Taibbi says. Thus, they will continue to shed a light and remained focused on exposing censorship and mass surveillance by these derelict agencies.

The bad news? While Taibbi would like to see a new version of the Church Committee formed by Congress to probe these agencies and force them to curtail their sundry abuses, he’s not convinced that will actually happen or, at least, not anytime soon. We will likely see Republicans in the U.S. House initiate some hearings, but it’s unclear whether they will be substantive, or actually lay down any genuine controls against these thuggish agencies. The shadowy Epps has stirred a groundswell of controversy. Democrats, including Raskin, portray him as a rabid supporter of former President Donald Trump. But Republicans, like Massie, are convinced he’s an imposter, more likely a federal agent, say from the FBI, assigned to stir up a hornet’s nest of trouble.
