Matt Taibbi is very coincidentally visited by the Internal Revenue Service the same day he appeared before the Weaponization of Government Committee of the U.S. House.

Taibbi is the head of the The Twitter Project. That’s the group of investigative reporters assembled by Elon Musk to explore how the FBI and other executive agencies used Twitter to censor their critics and silence open discussion.

The Wall Street Journal reported the IRS dropped by at Taibbi’s home in New Jersey. You have to wonder: Was the IRS attempting to intimidate Taibbi? Did the FBI give the IRS its marching orders? More from Robert Gouveia.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced that major government exposures will begin on Thursday, when the House Select Subcommittee conducts the much-anticipated hearing on the weaponization of federal government.
