Call Me Stormy

Finding righteous currents in turbulent times

Live from the Twitter Gulag

Jonathan Rollings reports live from the Twitter Gulag on what’s been a persistent problem on that social media network — conservatives’ Twitter accounts being banished, targeted as “spam” by liberal opponents who exploit weaknesses in the Twitter system to silence free speech. Call Me Stormy avoids Twitter like the plague. It’s not out of fear, but rather why fire off scattershot volleys of 140 characters or less when I can bloviate to my hearts’ content on this blog?

Still, I’m predicting Twitter will go the way of MySpace and the dodo bird if it can’t provide more reliable service. Perhaps Twitter will get its act together eventually. In the meantime, conservatives should consider gravitating toward Tumblr, which is like Twitter, but a more sophisticated microblogging platform. Food for thought. H/T Capitalist Preservation
