Short Skirts and Bear Markets
Stock market analyst Robert Prechter raises an interesting point: As soon as you see lots of women wearing super-short miniskirts, better sell off your stocks, because a bear market could be looming right around the corner. Conversely, Prechter says, the best time to buy is when bearish sentiment grips the public at large. “At some point I think we are going to see people hate stocks and say they will never buy a plot of land again for the rest of their lives, and it will be one of the greatest buying opportunities of all time.”
