The debt ceiling, in fact, has been raised more than 100 times, both by Democrats and Republicans–but with one major difference. “Things like raising the debt ceiling is consistent with Democrats,” Rachel says. “They’re liberal with taxing our money, liberal with spending our money and liberal with borrowing money to attempt to replace our money they overspend. Raising the debt ceiling is not a conservative action.
