Why Bother to Watch Fox?
Here is the clip that got Judge Napolitano removed from Fox News and his show cancelled. The judge was discussing wiretapping and data surveillance on Trump Tower through British intelligence agencies without a warrant requirement. It’s unclear if he has been fired from Fox, or whether he’ll simply be forced off the air for a shorter period of time.
But one thing is clear from the incident. Fox News must clean up its act if it wants to continue to appeal to conservatives. The station cannot be browbeating honest-to-God conservatives and libertarians like Judge Napolitano, while allowing idiots like Shep Smith free reign. Television has always been a bit of a wasteland, but when it’s totally controlled and contrived, why bother to watch?
