Wes Farrell Serenades Gamera

To make Gamera The Invincible a bigger hit in America, the distributors commissioned Wes Farrell to write a theme song for the monster. Who is Wes Farrell? He was one of the Sixties’ biggest songwriters, whose hits included “Hang On Sloopy” as well as other tunes by The Animals and Jay and the Americans. Here, his Gamera song is performed by The Moons as the monster is ravaging Tokyo and closing in on this disco, popular with youth.
