Styxhexenhammer666 analyzes the French election and says everything turned out exactly as most sane observers predicted months ago, except both Macron and Le Pen picked up a few late percentage points from weaker, more wishy-washy supporters. He now says Macron is most likely to win the run-off on May 7, although Le Pen has a chance, and has definitely shown more resiliency and strength than most analysts ever thought possible. Long-term, he projects trouble for European centrists.
