A Sanctuary City Trap
Some enterprising New Mexico counties have joined the 2nd Amendment sanctuary movement to escape stricter gun control laws from state lawmakers. On the surface, it seems like a conservative’s dream come true. Not so, according to political pundit Bill Whittle. “By taking this fight to the county level, it is an acceptance of the fact that the state has done something illegal and a willingness to accept it and then to say, if they’re doing something illegal, we want a little area where we can do something legal within this illegal state.” Whittle continues to make the complete connection of otherwise well-intentioned efforts.
