Mystery of the Ancient Map
A 16th-century map discovered by German theologian Gustav Adolf Deissmann displays information that could rewrite human history. Known as the Piri Reis Map, named for Turkish cartographer Piri Reis, the map somehow contained information on the shape of the planet’s continents than what should have been known at the time.
