The Great Unconformity
For the last 150 years, geologists have tried to wrap their heads around missing time. In some places, the geologic record seems to jump by more than a billion years, a phenomenon called The Great Unconformity. SciShow host Hank Green says a group of researchers recently published a paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, presenting evidence that might hold the answer to the mystery.
