Millenials Leaving Urban Areas
Millenials are not finding metropolitan areas as attractive as they once did. According to the latest census data, large U.S. cities collectively lost 30,000 millenials in 2018, the fourth consecutive year the population of young adults declined. What was once a brain drain from rural America is now subsiding, as millenials are choosing to live in suburbs and smaller cities for the cheaper cost of living and new opportunities.
