Comeback Of The Decade

Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey are coming out of retirement to fight and half the Internet thinks it’s pointless.

Maybe it’s not the UFC. Maybe it’s not 2015.

But it’s two pioneers settling unfinished business, and that’s bigger than people want to admit even if Sean Strickland disagrees. Here’s more from Brett Cooper.

Women’s Rights Trampled

Patara from Appalachia’s Homestead weighs in the Olympic boxing scandal, allowing biological men to compete against women. Patara has long experience as a kick boxer and also studied the martial arts sport of jiu-jitsu, an intricate form of self-defense.

She says there’s no way women can compete strategically against men, or even transgenders carrying male genes. She calls the bout against Italian boxer Angela Carini “46 seconds of Olympic abuse.”

We agree and believe the Olympics need to outlaw transgenders from competing against women. Transgenders who want to compete should fight against other transgenders, or against men — but not against women.
