Wiggle Room
Lured into a kitchen by the inviting smells, a slug feasts on spaghetti and other treats, little realizing that he’s slithered into a dangerous place. Soon, he will be retreating for his life, hampered by his snail’s pace. You would never guess this is a stop-motion animation because the movements are so fluid. Director Joel Schenkenberg (aka Joey Shanks) accomplished that by shooting some scenes at 60 frames per second — five times more than the 12 frames per second usually employed for stop-motion work.
