NSA? A Proposed Solution
Pundit Dick Morris says the threat of terrorism is too great to dismantle the NSA’s spying operations, but he also believes the agency has pushed the outer limits on what’s acceptable, so more checks and balances should be instituted to protect citizens’ privacy rights. One possibility: Appointment of an advocate who could independently review the agency’s operations and file court charges if agency employees or contractors violate laws or misuse the data they collect.
