Shhhh! No Cheering
A new theory in child development is ushering in an unforeseen era in youth athletics–no cheering. The phenomenon, known as “Silent Saturday,” prohibits parents and fans from cheering or jeering at sports games for youth to ensure that children are protected from the sting of losing. The theory doesn’t sit well with PJ Media’s Bill Whittle, who explains in this edition of “Afterburner” that the new development may well have an adverse affect on men in society.
