Despite the progressive rhetoric of the last eight years, the Democrat Party has failed America. Since winning the presidency six years ago and both houses of Congress in 2006, the Democrats have crafted an agenda of failure. In this edition of Intellectual Froglegs, Joe Dan Gorman sets the record straight with his Democrat Progress Report. Says Gorman, “When the Democrats took control, we had a AAA credit rating. When the Democrats took control, there had been zero attacks on American soil since 9/11. When the Democrats took control, we had no beheadings in Oklahoma and we had no beheadings in New Jersey.” And on and on. But perhaps Gorman’s most salient point centers on the economy. While our lamestream media would have you believe that President Obama inherited a Bush economy, that simply isn’t true. Gorman argues that the Democrats assumed control of Congress in January 2007 with Senator Harry Reid leading the Senate and U.S. Reprentative Nancy Pelosi controlling the House. And unbeknownst to most, it is Congress that controls the purse strings, not the president. “So the fact is,” Gorman says, “Obama did not inherit a Bush economy, he inherited a Reid-Pelosi economy.” Soak in Gorman’s remaining thoughts as you head to the polls today in this very important election.
