Measles Vaccine, Safe, Effective
Top health officials confirmed their support for measles vaccination at a Congressional hearing on Capitol Hill in light of the January outbreak of the virus at Disney World. “As a physician, as a public-health expert, I can tell you the measles mumps rubella (MRR) vaccine is very effective and very safe,” says Dr. Anne Schuchat of the Center for Disease Control. She went on to strongly recommend that all children be vaccinated for the contagion.
