Mexico in Panic Mode
Donald Trump made an instant impact on the GOP race, when early in his campaign he promised to halt illegal immigration from Mexico by building a massive wall along the border if elected president. And, he added, Mexico will pay for it. Well, our southern neighbors didn’t take to kindly to the proclamation and went on the attack, denouncing Trump at every corner.
Meanwhile, Trump continued to win primaries and caucuses, and the GOP nomination–and presidency for that matter–appears within his reach. All of a sudden, Mexico has taken notice and is changing its tune. With the rising popularity of The Donald, Mexico hopes to recast its image in the U.S. and has appointed a new ambassador to oversee the new plan.
