Chemicals Linked to Rebels
Britain’s former ambassador to Syria appeared on the BBC to discuss the Syrian bombing and says President Trump might well have been played. It’s not clear whether Syria was operating chemical weapons. It’s entirely possible that a rebel dump full of chemical weapons got hit, sparking a propaganda ploy. Obviously, it’s too soon to say what’s behind this story, but this is certainly as plausible an explanation as anything Trump has yet said.

Veteran CIA officer Ray McGovern says the same. He says military sources on the ground in Syria have verified that Syria’s air force mistakenly bombed a rebel-held arms depot they didn’t know was filled with chemical weapons.
