FBI Election Meddling
Now that a year has passed since the 2016 Election, it’s clear that the Russians didn’t interfere so much with the election as the FBI did. In May of this year, Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice for records of communications and payments between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele and his private firm, Orbis Business Intelligence. The lawsuit is related to the infamous Trump dossier obtained by Fusion GPS, which contracted Steele and his firm to collect compromising information about then-candidate Donald Trump.
