Dr. Steve Pieczenik touches upon the European Union in this analysis of why Italy — and increasingly other southern countries including Spain, Portugal and Greece — are looking to abandon the EU or at least, have more focus on their nationalistic interests. The EU, says Pieczenik, was orchestrated by Germany with the support of France. It seems to work for some of the northern European nations, not so much for the South.
