Mystery of the Forest Swastika
Being an intern at a German landscaping company during 1992 meant Ökoland Dederow was handed the tedious task of looking through aerial photographs for irrigation lines in a forest located in East Germany. There, he found evidence of a forest swastika. Here, that mystery is resolved as we come to understand how a global symbol — the swatika — was adapted by Hitler to serve as the symbol for Nazi Germany.
