Where Are People Moving?
Looks like New Mexico, Florida and Arizona are the top states attracting retirees. All are along the southern border of the United States, so warmer climates than other spots. Meanwhile, New York City is slowing losing its status as a good place to live. High costs, including excessive taxation, are forcing residents to leave. Only Staten Island seems to be holding its appeal. Also losing its population, at a much faster clip, is Baltimore. People are leaving, fed up with the city. More from the Money GPS.
