We’ve always known whales as the magnificent giants who dominate our seas. Amazingly, there was a time in their early existence when whales could walk. But in a span of less than 20-million years, they transformed from tiny, four-legged plant eaters no bigger than house cats to the massive sea-faring creatures we know today.
