Fiji Water: A Decoding

Remember when the Washington Post poked fun of President Donald Trump because he stopped twice during a speech to take swigs of Fiji Water?

Probably means none of the Washington Post reporters had ever visited Wakaya Island. Where’s that? A 2,200-acre private resort in the Fijis. Used to be owned by Canadian gold miner David Gilmour. But on Aug. 11, 2016, Gilmour sold out his stake to Clare Bronfman.

Who’s she? The daughter of Seagram’s liquor executive Edgar Bronfman. Also, Clare on Aptil 19, 2019 got convicted on federal charges of sex trafficking relating to her involvement in the NXIVM scandal. She forfeited a $6 million fine and will imprisonment for a period of 21 to 27 months.
