When we remember the forefathers of our country, we think of George Washington as the guiding star, Thomas Jefferson as the visionary and Benjamin Franklin as the sage. But Alexander Hamilton was the pragmatist, the one who got it done. This self-made man took a country with no past and planned its future. So it would be only a slight exaggeration to say Hamilton invented the United States of America.
