The Student Debt Timebomb

Just 20 years ago, the average student loan debt was $20,000. Today, that figure has ballooned to $37,000, spiraling the collective debt to $1.5 trillion, more than the entire GDP of Spain or Sweden. Apart from mortgages, student loans are the biggest source of personal debt in this country. “Colleges control access to the credentials that we’re all convinced are mandatory to achieve success in the modern economy,” says Fox News’ Tucker Carlson. “It’s a racket.
