Free College a Terrible Idea
Several Democrat presidential candidates have promised that if elected, they willl make public college tuition free and wipe clean federal student loan debt. They reason that such a policy will make for higher productivity and more economic opportunity. But the truth is, a bachelor’s degree is not a prerequisite to a satisfying career.
