Ocean is Deeper Than You Think
The Challenger Deep, located near Guam in the Western Pacific, is the known bottom of our ocean at a mind-blowing 10,994 meters, or about 36,000 feet. A scary depth to be sure, but amazingly, deeper parts of our ocean exist that haven’t been discovered. To date, it is estimated that only 5 percent of the ocean floor has been mapped accurately, leaving a vast amount to be explored.
