LOU LOU D’VIL

From Finland, comes Lou Lou D’Vil who cracks a mean whip to break through the chill of the Arctic Circle. She has toured from Sydney to New Orleans, from Tallinn to Milan, often accompanied by the band Sami Saari & The Teasers to reincarnate the golden age of burlesque and live music. Her hallmark traits: An exotic beauty, blazing eyes and an aura of notoriety as she brings seductive new twists to bump’n’grind burlesque.

Go! Girl! Go!–Cincuenta y Tres

No series about hot dancers would be complete without saluting those buxom ladies of burlesque. Here are two of the most iconic performers from the vintage era — Blaze Starr and Bettie Page. Perhaps their gambits seem tame by today’s standards, but back in the day, they were considered hot properties, Blaze earning the nickname “Miss Spontaneous Combustion.”
