We’ve now had a shutdown lasting more than 40 days — like wandering in the wilderness! It’s time to not only ramp back p the federal government, but also to let the unsealing begin. Let the world witness the truth.
The shutdown not only exposed how the SNAP payments have become a scam, but also how our health care has become completely unaffordable. Republicans are promising new approaches aimed at lowering health care costs.
Also, a look at how the new budget procedures are increasing exposure and disclosure. No more will we have full budgets approved in one big swath. Instead, the votes will be spread out over the course of the year. It means we can focus on different areas at different times, and we might be able to ferret out corruption a little easier.
