A Democratic transgender running for the US Senate from Maine has unveiled her symbol: A guillotine as “a symbol of the work we have to do.” Bre Kidman is a 31-year-old, self-described Democratic Socialist. If elected, Kidman would be the first transgender and non-binary candidate to serve in the Senate, meaning someone who identifies as neither a man nor a woman.
