Georgia Court Waylays Big Fani
A Georgia court appears to have put the kibosh on Atlanta District Attorney FaniĀ Willis’ attempt to prosecute former President Donald Trump. The Georgia Court of Appeals has halted the Trump case indefinitely pending final rulings on the requested disqualification of Willis by Trump’s legal team.
“The proceedings below in the Superior Court of Fulton County are hereby stayed pending the outcome of these appeals,” the order declares. The court previously set a date of Oct. 4 to consider the disqualification request, so Big Fani’s show case has met a seemingly intractable roadblock for this election season.
