Why Civilizations Collapse

Rudyard Lynch tells Dr. Edward Dutton, host of The Jolly Heretic, to discuss the long-term historical cycles that civilizations go through, with a particular focus on the 250-year secular cycle that seems to parallel modern Western societies with the French Revolution era.

Lynch, who runs the WhatIfAltHist channel, lays out the drivers behind this cycle–income inequality, wage stagnation and competition for elite jobs–and explains  why civilizations eventually collapse. Here’s the interview.
