Keep Calm: Tariffs Remain On!

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected the tariffs that President Donald Trump had been imposing to try to balance out foreign trade, but not everyone thinks this spells doom for the U.S. economy. Here, And We Know explains how Trump has a secondary plan up his sleeve, ready to roll out now that the Justices have shown their hands.

Those voting against him included the three Democratic appointees as well as Chief Justice John Roberts and the two other Republicans appointed by Trump in his first term — Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett. How will Trump get around these opponents? Is there a way to bypass such an unresponsive Court?

And We Now lays out the options, and also covers: Negotiating from strength and the details of IEEPA law. This is so-called International Economic Emergencies Power Act, allowing the President to regulate international commerce during periods of a declared national emergency.
