Schumer’s Popularity: Ice Cold
While prospects for the Republicans look bleak going into the midterms, the Democrats aren’t really faring much better. CNN’s chief data specialist Harry Enten says recent polls show New York’s Chuck Schumer as “the least popular Democratic Senate leader ever.”
The Marquette poll he cites lists Schumer’s favorability rating as -5 percent, down a mountain cliff from plus 53 percent in 2020. That ranks him as the least popular U.S. Senate leader ever. Here’s more from Memology 101.
