Scole: Proving The Afterlife
The Scole Experiment was the longest running, most extensive and most rigorously documented demonstration of attempts to communicate with the afterlife. For a period of five years, from 1993-98, four mediums and researchers conducted more than 500 seances, in total darkness, inside a dark farmhouse in a rural British town.
The researchers claimed they witnessed dancing lights, were given ancient coins, received camera rolls of shadowy images, and heard warnings from spirits, saying they existed in a realm far beyond ordinary time in alternate dimensions. Was this truly remarkable contact with higher consciousness, or simply an elaborate magic show?
Three scientists and skeptics from the Society for Psychical Research joined the later seances, prepared to debunk the claims. Instead, they essentially affirmed something unusual was occurring in Scole — a village to the northeast of London, near Norwich. Here’s more from The Why Files.
