Tiger Badly Hurt In Car Crash
Golf legend Tiger Woods was hospitalized Tuesday morning with multiple leg injuries, following a single-car crash in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. The LA County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was a rollover crash and the vehicle sustained major damages. Woods was extricated from the car by deputies and later underwent surgery.
At an early afternoon press conference, Sheriff Alex Villanueva confirmed that Woods was conscious at the scene of the crash and didn’t appear impaired. He said Woods was also able to communicate with authorities. The car apparently hit the median and rolled about 700 feet down an embankment, shearing a tree in the process.
The five-time Masters champion was in California over the weekend for the Genesis Tournament at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, of which he is the host. Here’s more from ESPN.
